- nominal:
- synchronizer of 1st and 2nd gears: 1.10-1.70;
- synchronizer of III and IV gears; 1,35-1,90;
- minimum acceptable (when worn out): 0,50.

The axial clearance of the IV gear of the secondary shaft is selected by selecting the thickness of the retaining rings. Spare parts are supplied with retaining rings with a thickness of 2.35; 2,38; 2,41; 2.44 and 2.47 mm.
The axial clearance of the 3rd gear pinion of the secondary shaft is selected by selecting the thickness of the retaining rings. Spare parts are supplied with retaining rings with a thickness of 1.50 and 1.60 mm.
Axial clearance of the IV gear of the primary shaft, mm: 0.10-0.40. It is adjusted by selecting the thickness of the thrust washer. The spare part includes thrust washers with a thickness of 3.47; 3.57 and 3.67 mm. Since June 1983, the design of the fourth gear pinion has been changed. See the section "Five-speed gearbox".
The position of the rear bearings of the primary and secondary shafts is adjusted by selecting the thickness of the adjusting rings installed in the sockets of the rear cover of the gearbox. Adjusting rings with a thickness of 1.53 are supplied as spare parts; 1,58; 1.63 and 1.68 mm for the rear bearing of the primary shaft of the gearbox type 014 II and a thickness of 0.15 to 1.40 mm with an interval of every 0.5 mm for the rear bearing of the secondary shaft of the gearbox type 014 I and a thickness of 0.40 to 0.75 mm with an interval of 0.05 mm for the rear bearing of the secondary shaft of the gearbox type 014 II.
The depth of the speedometer drive pinion relative to the end of the differential box, mm: 1.4.
The distance between the differential axis and the end face of the main gear pinion, which determines the contact of the working surface of the main gear pinion teeth, is adjusted by adjusting the clearance between the secondary shaft rear bearing and the gearbox housing by installing adjusting rings of the required thickness. Adjusting rings with a thickness of 0.15 mm and from 3.80 to 5.20 mm with an interval of 0.10 mm are supplied as spare parts for the 014 I type gearbox, adjusting rings with a thickness of 0.15 mm for the 014 II type gearbox; 0.20 and 0.25 mm and from 0.30 to 1.20 mm with an interval of every 0.10 mm.
Adjustment of the differential bearing preload and the lateral clearance between the main gear teeth is performed by installing adjusting rings between the differential bearing and the clutch housing. The lateral clearance between the main gear teeth should be within 0.10-0.20 mm. The differential bearings should be mounted with a preload of 0.40 mm.
Spare parts include adjusting rings with a thickness of 0.15 and 1.20 mm and a thickness of 0.20 to 1.00 mm with an interval of every 0.10 mm.
