Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
Pinch the hose going to the idle control valve move.
Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.
Set the idle speed adjusting screw to the crankshaft speed within 850-950 rpm.
Remove the clamp from the hose going to the idle air control valve. Connect the crankcase ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover.
Connect the gas analyzer according to the operating instructions.
Make sure that the idle speed of the engine is within the specified aisles.
Turn on high beam headlights.
Measure the CO content in the exhaust gases, which should be in the range of 0.5-1.5%. If abnormal, remove the plug of the mixture quality adjusting screw. Using a socket wrench with a 3 mm socket, turn the adjusting screw until the desired CO value is obtained. Turning the screw clockwise increases the CO content and vice versa.
Note. During the idle speed adjustment, the cooling fan should not turn on.
