Table of contents: Starting the engine ↓ Selecting a driving mode ↓ Moving off ↓ Stop ↓ Parking ↓ Emergency program ↓ Parking assistance ↓

Starting the engine

The engine can only be started when the control lever is in the "N" or "P" position.

Selecting a driving mode

Before selecting a driving mode with the vehicle stationary and the engine running, always press the brake pedal.

When shifting gears before starting off, do not press the accelerator pedal.

If you accidentally shift the lever to the "N" position while driving, release the gas and wait until the revs drop to idle speed before returning to the desired driving mode.

Attention! Regardless of the selected driving mode, when the engine is running, hold the car with the foot brake, since even in idle mode the kinematic connection of the engine with the wheels does not completely disappear - the car "crawls".

When the vehicle is stationary and the drive mode is on, do not add gas carelessly under any circumstances (for example, with your hand in the engine compartment). Otherwise, the car will immediately start moving, possibly even with the parking brake applied.

Before starting work with the engine running, move the control lever to the "P" position and apply the parking brake.

Moving off

Turn on the desired driving mode. Wait until the automatic system switches on, creating a power connection between the gearbox and the drive wheels (at the moment of switching on, a slight jolt is felt). Only after this press the accelerator pedal.

Stop

During short stops, for example at traffic lights, there is no need to switch to neutral position "N". It is enough to hold the car with the brake. The engine should only run in idle mode.

Parking

When stopping on level ground, it is enough to engage the parking lock. If the road has a slope, first apply the handbrake, and then engage the parking lock. This reduces the load on the locking mechanism and makes it easier to disengage it later.

Emergency program

In case of a system malfunction, the automatic system switches to the emergency program. This is indicated by the lighting up/switching off of all segments on the indicator board at once.

After this, the gearbox control lever can be moved to all positions, but in the positions "O", 4, 3, 2, 4th gear will be engaged. Manual engagement of reverse gear is also possible.

Attention! If the gearbox switches to emergency mode, contact a workshop immediately.

Parking assistance

The parking aid measures the distance to an obstacle using ultrasonic sensors located in the rear bumper. The device starts working when the reverse gear is engaged. This is confirmed by a short beep.

A warning sound is given when reversing, starting from 1.60 m to the obstacle. As the distance to the obstacle decreases, the time pauses between sound pulses are shortened.

A distance of less than 0.20 m means that you are in the danger zone and must stop reversing. Being in the danger zone is confirmed by a continuous sound signal. When using a trailer, the parking assistance device is switched off.

Attention! A warning sound signal for 5 seconds when the ignition is turned on indicates a malfunction of the device. Contact a workshop to fix it.

The parking assistance system can also be switched on/off manually by pressing the corresponding switches on the centre console.
