
Remove the rear noise insulation screen. Place the oil filling and pumping device -VAG- 1782- under the gearbox.

Remove the ATF inspection bolt "A." Drain the ATF. Depending on the design, different ATF inspection plugs and oil level tubes are installed. It is necessary to comply with the letter code of the KP.

Gearbox with a long, curved oil level inspection tube: Remove the oil level inspection tube "A" with hook "3438" from the ATF inspection hole and drain the remaining ATF.

Manually press the oil level tube "A" into the ATF inspection hole "B." Installation position: the large protrusion "1" on the oil level tube should face the recess "2" of the ATF inspection hole. Replace the oil level tube "A" after 2 insertions.

Gearbox with short, straight oil level control tube: Remove oil level control tube "A" with hook "3438" from the ATF inspection hole and drain the remaining ATF.

The sealing ring "1" must be correctly installed in the groove of the oil level control tube. Carefully press the oil level control tube "A" into the ATF inspection hole "B" by hand.

The sealing ring on the oil level control tube "A" seals against the vertical tube "C." This is the only way to properly adjust the ATF level. The oil level control tube "A" should be replaced after two adjustments. Ignore "3438.". Continue flushing the ATF oil.
