1. Used steering column electronics "J527": with a flat spring-shaped conductive element for the Airbag and return ring with a slip ring "F138" and a steering angle sensor "G85".
2. Steering wheel.
3. Bolt.
4. Electrical plug connection: for Airbag driver's squib. "N95" and 2 Airbag pyropatron drivers. "N250".
5. Electrical plug connection: for equipment variant with multifunction steering wheel.
6. Airbag. from the driver's side: with Airbag pyropatron driver. "N95" and 2 Airbags with a pyropatron. "N250".
7. Bolt: 2 pcs.; 7 Nm.
8. Cap: 2 pcs.; for the Airbag driver bolt.

Set the steering wheel as far back and down as possible, using the full range of the reg. steering column position regulator. Turn on the ignition. Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Turn the steering wheel so that the protective cap "1" on the back of the steering wheel is facing straight up (12 o'clock position). Peel off the upper cover of the steering column switch module near the Airbag bolt connection using adhesive tape to avoid damaging the surfaces. Press down the "arrow" cap.

Return the steering wheel to the center position (wheels in straight ahead position). Airbag. from the side of the driver, partially remove from the steering wheel. Installation



Installation in reverse order. Please note that the plug connections must be inserted all the way until they click into place. Please note that the wires should not be pinched. Connect the plug connection in the form of a flat spring of the conductive element with the branch pipe for the Airbag and the slip ring. Press the mounting connector into the handlebar pockets. Place the airbag module into the steering wheel. Tighten the two "arrow" bolts to secure the airbag module, approximately 2 turns. Press the horn 3 times to achieve uniform clearance. Airbag. do not touch again. Tighten the arrow bolts. Insert the caps into the holes on the steering wheel. Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Query the fault memory of used airbags. "J234" and clear it, since when disconnecting the plug connectors, fault messages may be entered into it.



Replacing the driver's airbag connector



Remove the driver's airbag module. Disconnect plug connections "1" and "5". Use a small screwdriver to release the "4" fasteners on the plug connections and disconnect plug connections "2" on the driver's airbag module. "N95" and "3" pyropatron 2 Airbag driver. "N250". Unfasten the wire from the holders "6" and release it.
