Airbag from the lane side. passage.
1. Electrical plug connection: Airbag igniter 2 on the front side. passage. "N132".
2. Nut: 2 pcs.; replace after each removal; 8 Nm.
3. Airbag. from the lane. passenger: with pyropatron 1 Airbag front. passenger "N131"; depending on the configuration with a pyropatron 2 Airbag front. passenger "N132"; locking and activation via key switch.
4. Airbag ground wire.
5. Electrical plug connection: Airbag igniter 1 on the front side. passage. -N131 -.
6. Nut: 2 pcs.; replace after each removal; 8 Nm.
Removal and installation the Airbag from the front side. passage, with a pyropatron "N131"/"N132"
Turn on the ignition. Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Remove the glove compartment. Disconnect the ground plug connection "5". Disconnect the plug connections "2" of the 2nd airbag squib, front passenger "N132" and "6" of the 1st airbag squib, front passenger "N131".
To do this, use a small screwdriver "1" to unlock the plug lock "3" and disconnect the plug connection "2".
Unscrew the nuts "1, 3, 4, 7". Remove the Airbag module from front passenger compartment "8" downwards.
Installation in reverse order. Please note that the plug connections must be inserted all the way until they click into place. Please note that the wires should not be pinched. Replace the front panel after the Airbag has been activated. Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on.
Removal and installation the front passenger airbag switch with a lock. "E224"
Turn on the ignition. Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Remove the glove compartment. Disconnect plug connection "2".
To do this, press the safety locks "1" in the "direction of the arrow" until the plug connection is released. Disconnect plug connection "2".
Release the spring lock "1" and "3" and push the switch with the lock for disabling the front passenger airbag "4" out of the switch housing with the lock.
Installation in reverse order. Please note that the plug connections must be inserted all the way until they click into place. Please note that the wires should not be pinched. Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on.
Removal and installation the front passenger airbag warning light. "K145"
The control lamp, airbag front passenger compartment, switch "K145" is located in the housing together with the hazard warning light switch "E229" and is not replaced separately in case of a malfunction. Remove the MMI display cover. Front airbag warning lamp. passage, switch "1" squeeze out of the mounting frame "2" "arrow".
Installation in reverse order. Airbag indicator light on the front side. passage, switch "K145" install into the mounting frame until it clicks.
