Front center armrest — removal and installation (Audi A4 B8)

Front center armrest

1. Bracket: 2 pcs.
2. Overlay: clipped using "pos. 5".
3. Lower lining of the hinge arm: fixed using "Pos. 7" and "Pos. 8".
4. Bolt: 2 pcs.; 2.2 Nm.
5. Pillow.
6. Overlay.
7. Upper cover of the hinge arm: clipped using "pos. 3".
8. Support.
9. Bolt: 2 pcs.; 3 Nm.
10. Nut: 4 pcs.; 20 Nm.
11. Bolt: 2 pcs.; 3 Nm.

Removal

Remove the rear center console trim. Option with deflector: remove rear air duct. deflector. Option with telephone/mobile phone: release the plug connections from the fasteners. Remove bolts "1, 2, 4." Remove nuts "3" and "5." Disconnect the upper center console from the armrest support by pushing the center console down. Pull the armrest support upwards, pass it over the threaded bolt and remove it towards the rear.

Installation in reverse order.

Removal and installation the center front cushion. armrest

Carefully remove the trim "1" with the wedge "3409" from the "arrow" cushion.

Unscrew bolts "1" and lift cushion "2" above the pivot arm "arrow".

Installation in reverse order. Install the cushion onto the pivot arm and tighten the bolts. Press the trim until it clicks into place.

Removal and installation the hinge arm trim

Remove the front cushion. armrest. Carefully remove the upper trim "1" with a small screwdriver from the hinge arm and the lower trim "arrow".

Remove the rear center console trim. Fold down the front armrest. Remove the lower trim "1" with a screwdriver from the pivot arm of the center console "arrow".
