1. Remove the rubber seal in the direction (arrows in illustration 5.2 Chapter 2) and remove the gutter cover (1).

2. Remove the windshield wiper arms (see Section 9), pull out the clamps (1 in illustration 9.2) and separate the panel (5).

3. Remove the cover of the electronics unit in the gutter (see illustration 5.33 Chapter 2).

4. Press the pull-up (2 in the illustration) from the hinge using a puller, unscrew the crank fastener on the electric motor, unhook the guides of the tubes and hoses from the windshield wiper mechanism, unscrew the bolt (arrows) and separate the windshield wiper mechanism (1) as an assembly. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector.

5. Unscrew the bolts securing the electric motor to the windshield wiper mechanism and remove it (see illustration).

6. Fasten the electric motor without the crank to the windshield wiper mechanism and connect the motor wiring connector. Tighten the motor mounting bolts with a force of 9 Nm.

7. Install the mechanism in place and screw in the bolts by hand. Press the rods until they stop in the direction (arrows in the illustration) and tighten bolt (1). Tighten bolt (2), then bolt (3). Turn on the windshield wipers for one stroke and let the motor move to the extreme position, remove the key from the ignition switch. Tighten the fasteners with a force of 8 Nm.

8. Position the crank (1 in the illustration) on the windscreen wiper mechanism so that the angle is 2° and tighten the nut (2) by hand so that the set position does not get lost. Secure the crank to the mechanism using a lever, make sure that the position is correct and repeat the adjustment if necessary. Tighten the nut with a force of 18 Nm.

9. After installation, adjust the wiper arms.
