Caution: Gaskets and O-rings must be replaced.
Warning: Timing belt bottom cover cannot be removed. The toothed belt remains on the crankshaft pulley. Close the toothed belt to prevent coolant ingress.
1. Cover the toothed belt before removing the coolant pump with a rag to prevent coolant from getting on the belt.
2. Drain the coolant, refer to the relevant Section.
3. Remove the V-belt, refer to Section Removal and installation of a belt of a drive of auxiliary units.
4. Turn away three screws of fastening of a tension element.
5. Remove the top and center cover of the toothed belt, refer to Section Removal and installation of a gear belt.
6. Remove the toothed belt from the coolant pump wheel, refer to Section Removal and installation of a gear belt.
7. Turn out bolts (arrows on the accompanying illustration) and remove the coolant pump from the cylinder block.
Installation
1. Moisten a new O-ring (3) coolant and insert it into the cylinder block.
2. Insert the pump into the cylinder block and fix it with bolts (1) moment 15Nm.
3. Install a toothed belt and adjust the valve timing, refer to Section Removal and installation of a gear belt.
4. Install the V-belt tensioner and torque tighten 25Nm.
5. Install the V-belt, refer to Section Removal and installation of a belt of a drive of auxiliary units.
6. Fill the system with coolant. Refer to Section Coolant replacement.
