Coolant pump and thermostat 1. Bolt: 23 Nm; 2. Bolt: 9 Nm; 3. Cooling system hose: going to the radiator from the bottom right; 4. Connection pipe with thermostat; 5. Sealing collar: replace; 6. Coolant pump; 7. Bolt; 8. Coolant pump belt drive pulley; installation position: lettering "vorne" points in the direction of travel
Coolant pump - tightening torque and sequence
Tighten the coolant pump bolts -arrow -crosswise in stages (tightening torque 9 Nm).
Exhaust gas recirculation radiator pump-V400- 1. Cooling system hose: to the thermostat; 2. Exhaust gas recirculation radiator pump -V400-; 3. Bolt; 4. Bolt: 2.7 Nm; 5. Engine mounting eye; 6. Coolant hose: for EGR radiator
Removing exhaust gas recirculation radiator pump -V400-
Remove engine cover -arrows-. Remove air duct -arrow-.
Disconnect el. connector -2-. Unscrew bolts -1-. Clamp coolant hoses -arrows- with clamps -3094- and remove hoses from exhaust gas recirculation radiator pump -V400-. Remove exhaust gas recirculation radiator pump -V400- with engine mounting eye.
Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the exhaust gas recirculation radiator pump -V400--item. 2- from eye -1- for engine mounting.
Installation
Install in reverse order. Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the appropriate series. Check coolant level.
