Removal
1. Open the hood and remove the upper left engine cover (1), if installed.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Warning: Please note the Section indication Replacing the battery.
3. Unscrew the bolt and nut (arrows in the accompanying illustration) and remove the upper windshield washer reservoir from the lower reservoir. Remove the water line from the upper reservoir.
Warning: The operation of lifting and installing the vehicle on stands is associated with danger! Therefore, before carrying out the operation, read Section Jacking and towing.
4. Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Raise and support the front of the vehicle.
5. Remove the left wing liner, refer to Section Removal and installation the front wing liner.
6. Remove bolts (1) through (3) and tilt the lower reservoir back slightly.
7. Disconnect all connectors (2) to (4) from the tank.
8. Press the release button and disconnect the hose coupling (1) of the windshield washer pump motor.
9. Disconnect the water hose (5) from the windshield wiper pump motor.
10. If necessary, disconnect the pump motors.
11. Remove the reservoir from the wheel housing.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. The water hose should be clearly fixed on the pump. Tighten the tank mounting bolts in the sequence (1-2-3) with a torque of 7 Nm.
