Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning: Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
2. Remove the lever, refer to the relevant section.
3. Remove the lower trim of the tailgate, refer to Section Removal and installation the tailgate trim (Station wagon).
4. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector.
5. Carefully remove the water hose (1) from the connecting element. (4) - sealing gasket.
6. Loosen the nuts (2) and remove the windshield wiper motor (3) from the tailgate.
Installation
1. Secure the electric motor to the tailgate with torque 8 Nm. When doing this, make sure that the sealing gasket (4) is in the correct position.
2. Place the water hose onto the connecting element until it is clearly fixed.
3. Connect the electric motor connector.
4. Stop the windshield wiper motor in the extreme position by briefly turning it on and off with the switch.
5. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
