Only light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are installed in the dashboard as control lamps. If the LED is damaged or there is any other damage to the dashboard, it is replaced in the kit.
If the "dEF" indicator is displayed instead of the daily mileage indicator, then the fault is stored in memory. In this case, the instrument panel is also replaced as a set.
Warning: The receiving antenna for the in-dash clock radio is located on the rear bumper bracket.
Removal
1. If the instrument cluster needs to be replaced, it is necessary to read the data from the fault memory. In addition, it is necessary to read the data of the service indicator and the mileage counter using the diagnostic tool and record them (work of the service station).
2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Warning: Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
3. Remove the instrument panel cover, refer to Section Removal and installation the cover on the dashboard.
Caution: Be sure to follow the safety precautions when handling the airbag, refer to Section General information and safety precautions.
4. Remove the airbag unit on the steering wheel, refer to Section Removal and installation the airbag unit.
5. Fully extend the steering wheel using the steering wheel adjuster and lower the wheel down.
6. Remove the steering wheel, refer to Section Removal and installation the steering wheel.
7. Remove the screws (arrows in the accompanying illustration).

8. Pull the instrument panel out of the instrument panel using the AUDI 3370 or HAZET 2520-1 hook.

9. Move the locking lever to the opposite side and disconnect the connector. Remove the instrument panel.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Caution: Be sure to follow the safety precautions when handling the airbag, refer to Section General information and safety precautions.
2. Reinstall the steering wheel and airbag unit, refer to Sections Removal and installation the airbag unit and Removal and installation the airbag unit.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
Warning: Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
4. Turn on the ignition and check the operation of the control lamps and indicators on the instrument panel.
5. Read the maintenance due date indicator and odometer readings using a diagnostic tool (work of the service station).
