Withdrawal
1. Read and follow the safety instructions for handling the airbag.
2. Disconnect the negative cable (-) battery.
Warning: Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
3. Isolate the battery terminals.
4. Unlock the steering column adjustment mechanism.
5. Pull out the steering wheel (2) as far as possible and pull it up. Install vertically, refer to illustration Driver airbag.
6. Remove one of the two Torx T30 screws (1).
7. Turn the steering wheel half a turn back and remove the second Torx screw (1).
8. Disconnect the airbag unit connector (4).
9. Disconnect the horn connector (6).
10 Put the airbag unit (5) so that the impact side of the pillow points up.
Installation
1. Connect connectors (4) And (6) and fix them with locking brackets (you should hear a distinct click).
2. Make sure that no cable is attached to the gas generator and that the cable is not pinched.
3. Fold the airbag cable on the left into a loop.
4. Loop the horn cable.
5. Tighten the screws (1) moment 7 Nm, refer to illustration Driver airbag.
6. Turn on the ignition.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
Caution: When connecting the battery, no one should be inside the car.
