Removal
1. Remove the tie rod end, unscrew the lock nut, refer to Section Removal and installation the steering rod end.
2. Remove the steering rod cover.
3. Open the clamp and hose clamp (arrows) of the protective cover.

4. Remove the protective cover.
Warning: If the cover has been damaged for a long time, dirt may enter the mechanism. Dirt combined with grease acts as an emery paste, destroying the steering mechanism. In this case, as well as if there are traces of rust on the rack, the rack must be sent for repair (work of the service station).
Installation
1. When installing the protective cover, make sure that the small diameter of the cover fits into the groove of the steering rod and that the cover does not twist.
2. Use new clamp and hose clamp.
3. Install the steering rod cover.
4. Install the tie rod end, refer to Section Removal and installation the steering rod end.
