Warning: To remove the interior light, a pull-out hook is required, such as 3370 or HAZET 2520-1. A plastic wedge, such as HAZET 1965-20, can also be used for this purpose (refer to the illustration below).
1. Turn off the switch of the corresponding lamp.
2. Turn off the ignition.
Front Ceiling/Reading Light
1. Pull the lamp cover out using the hook and remove it.
2. Remove the screws (arrows in the accompanying illustration).
3. Lower the front lamp down and remove it from the installation opening in the ceiling.
4. Disconnect the ceiling light connector.
5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Replacing the reading light bulb
1. Press the lamp (1) and (2) into the socket, turn and remove. Replace the lamp with a new one.
Replacing the ceiling light bulb
1. Pull out the ceiling light diffuser using the hook and remove it.
2. Remove the spotlight lamp (1) and (2) from the socket and replace with a new one.
Rear reading light
1. Use the hook to remove the lampshade from the installation opening in the ceiling.
2. Disconnect the lamp connector.
3. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
1. Press the lamp on the back of the lampshade, turn and remove it. Replace the lamp with a new one.
Glove box light
Caution: Some lamps, such as the door alarm lamp, entry lamp, front footwell lamp and trunk lamp (sedan) are removed in the same way as the glove box lamp.
1. Glove box light: Open the glove box.
2. Remove the lamp (2) using a plastic wedge, e.g. HAZET 1965-20, from the installation opening. In doing so, place the wedge in the groove. (1) – locking strip.
3. Disconnect the lamp connector (3).
4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, insert the lamp from the plug side into the hole and fix it on the other side.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
1. If necessary, lift up the cover on the back of the lamp (arrow on the accompanying illustration).
2. Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one.
Cargo Compartment Light (Station Wagon)
1. Remove the lampshade from the installation opening in the ceiling using the hook.
2. Disconnect the lamp connector.
3. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
1. Place a screwdriver at the groove, pry up and remove the diffuser.
2. Remove the spotlight from the socket and replace it with a new one.
Tailgate Light (Station Wagon)
1. Using the hook, remove the lamp from the mounting hole in the direction of vehicle travel (arrow on the accompanying illustration).
2. Disconnect the lamp connector.
3. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, insert the lampshade into the hole and opening and fix it with clamps.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
1. Remove the reflector (1) from the back of the lampshade (2) and then the spotlight. Replace the lamp with a new one.
Rear footwell light
1. Move the lamp towards the outside of the car (arrow on the accompanying illustration) and remove it from the installation opening.
2. Disconnect the lamp connector.
3. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, insert the lamp into the opening with the plug side.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
1. Release the locking strips (arrows in the accompanying illustration), pry it from the back side and remove the cover.
2. Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one.
Vanity mirror light
1. Place a screwdriver in the slot, pry and remove the lampshade from the mounting hole in the ceiling.
2. Disconnect the lamp connector.
3. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, insert the lamp into the opening behind the plug side and fix it from the back side.
Replacing an incandescent light bulb
1. Open the cover on the back of the lampshade (arrow on the accompanying illustration) and remove the spotlight from the socket. Replace the lamp with a new one.
Door handle lighting
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Warning: Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
2. Remove the door trim, refer to Section Removal and installation the front door trim.
3. Remove the lamp (1) from the holder on the door trim.
4. Disconnect the lamp connector (2).
5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, insert the lamp into the installation opening and fix it.
