This defect first manifests itself in the form of strong noise. If noise occurs, for example, when turning to the right, then the left wheel bearing is faulty. Wheel bearings are not adjustable and should be replaced if damaged. However, this work should be left to the workshop, as the bearings, bearing rings, hub and steering knuckles are manufactured to a very tight tolerance, so special tools are needed to mount these parts.
1. Park the machine on firm ground. Grasp the top of the wheel and try to move it across the car. In the case of serviceable bearings, there should be no play.
2. At detection of a backlash in bearings of forward wheels ask the assistant to squeeze out a brake pedal and repeat check. If the gap remains, then the hinge is faulty.
