1. The moment of rotation from the differential to the front wheels is transmitted through two drive shafts, depending on the model, made of a whole round timber or a pipe. Both shafts at the ends have a spline connected to the wheel hub, fixed with a large bolt. The internal hinges of the shafts are attached to the gearbox flanges with six bolts.
2. Equal velocity joints are installed at both ends of the shaft (CV joints) to ensure the movement of the wheels when the car is moving. Gasoline models with manual transmissions have both ball joints with clips. Diesel models and models with automatic transmissions are equipped with external ball joints and internal roller joints "tripod".
3. Rubber or plastic covers are attached to the hinges with clamps. There is grease inside the covers, which is also stuffed with the hinge. The cover protects the hinge from penetration of dirt.
