1. If there is a malfunction in the fuel injection system, make sure that all electrical connectors are firmly connected and without corrosion. Make sure that the fault is not due to poor maintenance, then check the cleanliness of the air cleaner filter element, the good condition of the spark plugs and their correct connection. The compression in the cylinders should be normal, the vacuum hoses should be clean and without damage. See chapters for details 1A, 2A or 5 B.
2. If the checks did not give positive results, the car must be presented to a properly equipped dealership for inspection. The engine control system has a diagnostic block to which a specialized diagnostic tool is connected. With its help, a malfunction can be detected quickly and easily, without checking the system in detail, which takes a lot of time, is very unproductive (especially in case of spontaneous manifestation of a malfunction) and increases the risk of damage to the BEU.
3. Experienced motorists. having a stroboscope and a calibrated gas analyzer can check idle speed and CO content. If the received data is outside the limits prescribed specifications, the car must be presented to the dealer to find the cause. Mechanical adjustments to the composition of CO and idle speed are not provided. Incorrect results indicate a malfunction in the injection system.
