Headlights
Removal
1. Disconnect the wiring connector at the rear of the headlight (Fig. 9.1).

2. As described in paragraph 7, remove the nearest turn signal.
3. Unscrew the headlight mounting bolts - one at the bottom edge and two along the top edge of the headlight to the front cross member of the body.
4. Move the headlight to the side to release the clip at its lower edge.
5. Lift the headlight, tilt it forward and remove it from the front panel (Fig. 9.5).

6. Installation - reverse procedure. Check the functionality of the headlight and adjust the direction of the headlights as soon as possible (see below).

7. Remove the headlight as described above.
8. Turn the motor (clockwise in the left headlight, counterclockwise in the right headlight) until released from the headlight housing.
9. Tilt the motor to the side so that the hinge on the adjusting shaft disengages from the socket on the reflector. Remove the motor (Fig. 9.9).

10. Installation - reverse procedure. It may be necessary to lift the reflector to align the motor hinge (Fig. 9.10). Check the motor for proper operation and adjust the headlight aim as soon as possible.

Adjusting the direction of headlights

11. Precise adjustment is only possible with the use of special equipment - this work should be entrusted to specialists at a dealership car service or a suitably equipped workshop.
12. For reference, adjust the beam direction of the headlights using the adjusting screws, which are accessible from the top of each headlight (Fig. 9.12).

13. Some models are equipped with an electric headlight corrector, controlled by a switch on the front panel. When adjusting the headlights with screws in these models, first set the switch to the basic position ("O").
Xenon headlights
14. The direction of the headlights is adjusted by the electronic control unit, which receives signals from the vehicle's ground clearance sensors installed in the front and rear suspensions. To perform the adjustment, contact the dealer's service center.
