Depending on the engine type, to access the bulbs in the right headlight, you need to remove the rubber cuff from the headlight cover, press the retaining clips and remove the middle part of the cover. In some cases, you also need to remove the air intake sleeve. On cars with six-cylinder engines, you need to remove the battery cover to access the bulbs in the left headlight, and on cars with a five-cylinder engine, you need to remove the cover above the radiator to make room for working on the left headlight.

1. Remove the insert under the headlight lens glass.

2. Remove the rear covers from the headlights, disconnect the power plugs and the parking light bulb socket together with the bulb.

3. Pull the wires out of the headlight housing together with the sealing rubber bands.

4. Remove the two mounting screws above the headlights on the front trim and the two below the headlights (see illustration).

5. Remove the headlights by pushing them forward.

6. Vehicles with four- and five-cylinder engines: Remove the turn signal lamp.

If the headlight diffuser is broken or the reflector has become matte and lost its qualities, then it is not necessary to change the headlight as a set. Both of the mentioned parts can be purchased by specifying the headlight manufacturer (hella or Bosch companies). In order to install a new part, the headlight must be disassembled.

7. Release all clamps on the headlight housing.

8. Remove the diffuser and sealing rubbers

9. Carefully remove the chrome trim around the reflector.

10. Disconnect the reflector by turning both adjustment screws until the reflector is released.

11. Remove the Phillips head screw.

After assembling and installing the headlight in place, adjust its position.

Fog lights - installation

Cars with four- and five-cylinder engines

Installing fog lights that are not original AUDI is quite problematic in terms of their compatibility with the round shape of the car body. Therefore, we recommend installing original fog lights if the car is not equipped with them. Moreover, all the necessary terminals and connections are available. It is only necessary to replace the solid bumper pad with pads with corresponding holes for fog lights. Additionally, you will need a relay for fog lights and a switch installed on the dashboard.

12. Remove the front bumper covers. At the bottom, in the opening for the fog lights, there are connecting wires (see illustration).

13. Connect the wires and install the fog lights.

14. Install the bumper covers with holes for the fog lights.

15. Install the fog lamp relay in place of the jumper wire at location #1 on the central distribution panel.

16. Remove the plugs on the instrument panel and install the fog light switch in their place.

17. Route the wire from the switch to the plug on the auxiliary relay box on the lower left under the instrument panel. Use the electrical diagram to determine the purpose of the wires.

18. Turn on the fog lights and check their operation. Also make sure that the operation of the low beam, high beam and parking lights is not impaired.
