Withdrawal
1. Remove the brake drum.
2. Use pliers to depress the spring clip of the brake shoe support pin and turn it 90°. At the same time, hold the support pin on the back side of the support shield so that it does not scroll along with the clamp (see illustration).

3. Remove clip and guide spring.
4. Disconnect the return spring of the wedge of the mechanism for automatically adjusting the gap between the shoes and the drum.
5. Disconnect the brake pads from the bottom of the base plate, and from the top - from the stops of the pistons of the wheel cylinder.
6. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the brake shoes.
7. Remove the upper and lower brake shoe coupling springs.
8. Remove the wedge of the mechanism for automatically adjusting the gap between the brake shoes and the drum from the expansion bar.
9. Disconnect the expansion bar support spring. If necessary, clamp the expansion bar in a vise.
Installation
10. Clamp the expansion bar in a vise to install the support spring on the brake shoe.
11. Attach the support spring to the second brake shoe and insert the wedge of the automatic clearance mechanism from above. Its tongue should be facing the brake shoe.
12. Attach the parking brake lever and top return spring to the rear brake shoe.
13. Fasten the parking brake cable to the drive lever before installing the brake shoes in place.
