Adjustment
Remove air filter.
Fully pull out the starting drive (air) dampers. The lever -1- of the damper must be in contact with the stop (air damper closed).
Keihin-I Carburetor: Connect a vacuum gauge and vacuum pump to the vacuum opening device. Create a vacuum with a pressure of 400 mbar with a pump. At the same time, the vacuum opening device "Pulldown" should slightly open the air damper.
Keihin-II carburetor: Press the drive rod of the opening diaphragm of the device towards the diaphragm until it stops.
In this position, use a suitable drill -2- to check the damper gap between the choke edge and the carburetor diffuser wall, if necessary adjust. Values see chapter "Repair characteristics".
Set the required clearance by bending the stop lever -arrow-.
Gap too small: release lever.
The gap is too large: tighten the lever.
