The opening membrane should be checked for leaks if the cold engine does not accept gas well or if there are dips in transient modes.
Keihin-I carburetor
Connect the vacuum gauge and vacuum pump to the opening diaphragm, as in the previous step.
Create a pressure of 400 mbar. In this case, the drive rod should pull the air damper lever in the direction "Air damper open".
Plug the pipe so that a low pressure is maintained in the opening diaphragm.
The pressure should not change within 2 minutes, otherwise replace the vacuum device.
Carburetor Keihin-ll
Remove the carburetor.
Unscrew the throttle control device or the 2nd chamber vacuum regulator with three bolts.
Remove the air damper opening device.
Press the drive rod into the diaphragm until it stops.
Seal air hole 1 tightly with your thumb and release the connecting rod.
When the hole is closed, it should not be pushed out, otherwise the opening device must be replaced.
Install the carburetor.
