Throttle clearance can be adjusted by adjusting the fast idle speed. The carburetor does not need to be removed to adjust. The fast idle speed should be checked and adjusted if the engine is sluggish on gas or if the engine is cold and does not accept gas well.
The carburetor remains installed.
Warm up the engine. Oil temperature +60°C.
Connect the tachometer with the ignition off.
Check idle adjustment.
Check ignition timing.
Remove air filter. Plug the air heater control vacuum hose (black connector) suitable stopper.
Fully pull out the starting drive (air) dampers. Choke lever -1- must rest against stop.
Start the engine.
Fully open -arrow A- choke on lever -2-.
Check speed, set required deflection of stop lever -arrow B-. Meaning see chapter "Repair characteristics".
RPM too high: push lever in.
RPM too low: Press lever out.
