4 - toothed belt
5 - tension roller
6 - fastening nut, 45 Nm
7 - back cover of a gear belt
8 - bolt, 30 Nm. Coated with protective agent VAG-D6
9 - bolt, 30 Nm
10 - V-belt. Check the tension by pressing your thumb. Alternator V-belt: deflection is 2 mm for new, 5 mm for used. Deflection of the V-belt for additional devices - 10 mm.
11 - crankshaft belt pulley. Mount correctly. Installation of the vibration damper is only possible in one position, because the holes are offset
12 - bolt, 20 Nm
13 - lower cover of the toothed belt
14 - crankshaft gear
15 - bolt. Respect tension:
- hex bolt (M12x1.5): 80 Nm, coat with protective agent VAG D6.
- hex bolt (M 14x1.5): 180 Nm, grease the thread.
- Hexagon bolt 90 Nm + ¼ turn (90°).
- The bolt can be tightened in several steps, it is important to return to 90°.
Dowel bolt always use new. To loosen or tighten, use the VW-3099 holder
16 - intermediate shaft gear
17 - bolt, 80 Nm
