Oil pan

Before each trip or every 500 km of run, check the oil level in the engine oil sump with a dipstick. The oil level should be between the "Max" and "Min" marks, and under heavy loads on the engine (when towing the scope, driving on the highway in the summer, etc.) - as close to "Max" as possible.

When checking the oil level, the car must be on a level surface. For an accurate result, check the oil level approximately 10 minutes after stopping the engine to allow the oil to drain into the crankcase.

The maximum permissible oil consumption according to the manufacturer's standards is 1.5 liters per 1000 km.

Every 15,000 km or at least once a year, change the oil in the engine crankcase. The frequency of oil changes is reduced under severe vehicle operating conditions.

Oil filter

Replace the oil filter every 15,000 km.

Before installing a new filter, clean the sealing ring mating surface on the cylinder block and lubricate the ring with engine oil.

After installing a new oil filter, start the engine, warm it up to operating temperature and make sure the filter connection is tight, then stop the engine and check the oil level with the dipstick.

Oil pressure sensor

When the ignition is switched on, the oil pressure indicator lamp lights up in the instrument cluster and goes out immediately after the engine starts or at the latest after the first press of the accelerator pedal.

If the oil pressure warning light comes on while driving, stop driving immediately and check the oil level in the engine crankcase. If the oil level is within normal limits, check for any plugs that impede oil circulation in the system.

Location of the engine crankcase oil drain plugs and the gearbox oil drain and inspection holes on vehicles with FZ, EP, YP, DT, DS engines:

1 - plug of the hole for draining oil from the engine crankcase; 2 - plug of the hole for draining oil from the gearbox housing (only if the gearbox is removed); 3 — oil level control plug in the gearbox crankcase.
