Oil sump
Before each trip or every 500 km, check the oil level in the engine oil sump with an oil dipstick. The oil level must be between the marks «max» And «Min», and at high loads on the engine (when towing the scope, driving on the freeway in the summer, etc.) - as close as possible to «max».
The vehicle must be on level ground when checking the oil level. To obtain an accurate result, check the oil level approximately 10 minutes after stopping the engine to allow the oil to drain into the crankcase.
The maximum allowable oil consumption according to the manufacturer's water standards is 1.5 liters per 1000 kilometers.
Change the oil in the engine crankcase every 15,000 km or at least once a year. Oil change intervals are reduced under severe vehicle operating conditions.
Oil filter
Change the oil filter every 15,000 km.
Before installing a new filter, clean the seating surface of the sealing ring on the cylinder block and lubricate the ring with engine oil.
After installing a new oil filter, start the engine, warm it up to operating temperature and make sure that the filter connection is tight, then stop the engine and check the oil level with the dipstick.
Oil pressure sensor
When the ignition is switched on, the oil pressure warning lamp lights up in the instrument cluster and goes out immediately after the engine is started or at the latest after the first pressing of the accelerator pedal.
If the oil pressure warning light comes on while driving, stop driving immediately and check the oil level in the crankcase. If the oil level is within normal limits, you should check for plugs that impede the circulation of oil in the system.
Location of plugs for the oil drain hole of the engine crankcase and the oil drain and control holes of the gearbox on vehicles with FZ, EP, YP, DT, DS engines:
1 - plug holes for draining oil from the crankcase; 2 - plug holes for draining oil from the gearbox housing (only in case of removal of the CP); 3 - oil level control plug in the gearbox crankcase.
Crankcase oil drain plug 1 on vehicles with YZ and DZ engines.
