Engine side components
General instructions: When the engine is warm, the cooling system is under excess pressure. To relieve excess pressure, first cover the extension cover. container with a rag and carefully open it. When the engine is warm, the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary, relieve pressure before carrying out repair work. To install spring clamps, we recommend using hose clamp pliers -VAG 1921- or hose clamp pliers -VAS6340-. Gaskets and seals the rings need to be replaced. The arrows marked on the ends of the tubes and hoses of the cooling system must be opposite each other.
Hose connection diagram 1. Radiator, after replacing, drain the old one and fill with new coolant; 2. Oil cooler; 3. Exhaust gas recirculation radiator; 4. A bypass valve is not always provided, depending on the date of manufacture and execution of the vehicle; 7.
