Removal



1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove the accessory drive V-belt (see the relevant chapter).

3. Remove the power steering pump pulley mounting bolts, holding the pulley from turning with a trunnion wrench, such as the wrench with part number 3212 (see illustration).

4. Disconnect the power steering pump from the bracket without disconnecting the hoses from it, and move the pump away from the work area.

Warning! Do not open the refrigerant circulation system yourself - risk of frostbite! All work related to the air conditioner should be entrusted to a specialized workshop.


6. Disconnect plug 1 of the air conditioning compressor pressure reducing valve, unscrew the bolts securing the compressor to the bracket (see arrows in the illustration).

9. Loosen the oil cooler hose clamps (see arrows in the illustration) and slide them onto the hoses.

10. Place a container under the engine to collect any leaking oil and coolant.

12. Unscrew bolts 1-4 and remove the oil cooler and power steering pump bracket (see illustration 8.9).

Installation



Installation of the oil pump bracket and power steering pump is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
