Sealing flange on the pulley side - torque and tightening sequence

Replace bolts that were tightened with additional tightening. Risk of damage to aluminum bolts when installing seals. flange. When installing the seal. aluminum bolts cannot be used for the cylinder block flange. Therefore, for tightening, a seal is needed. prepare 3 steel bolts M6x20 for the flange, as described below. Tighten the bolts in 10 steps in the sequence shown.

Stage 1...3

Stage 1...3

StepScrewsTightening torque
1Install the flange with seal on the cylinder block
2"1"Tighten for guide roller
3"2, 3, 4"Tighten steel bolts M6x20 to a torque of 9 Nm

Stage 4...8

Stage 4...8

StepScrewsTightening torque/rotation angle
4Install the oil temperature regulator. radiator with cover
5"10"Screw it in by hand until it stops
6"1...19"3 Nm
7"1...19"3 Nm - these measures also take into account the fit of the seal. flange
8"1...19"Turn 90° further

Stage 9...11

StepScrewsTightening torque/rotation angle
9"2, 3, 4"Unscrew the steel bolts M6x20
10"2, 3, 4"Install the aluminum bolts and tighten to 3 Nm
11"2, 3, 4"Turn the aluminum bolts 90°
