Lane Change Assist

Removal and installation the lane change assist button "E530"
Turn off the ignition. Remove the tweeter cover. Remove the lane change assist button "E530" "pos. 2" from the "arrow" latches. Disconnect plug connection "1".

Remove the mirror glass. Unscrew bolts "4" and "5". Unlock retaining tabs "3" in the direction of arrow A. Unlock clamp "1" and remove housing "2" of the outside rearview mirror. view from the "arrow B" cladding.

Installation in reverse order. If the LED is faulty, the lane change assist indicator in the outside mirror assembly must be replaced. Install the outside mirror housing.

Remove the PEG module. mirrors. Unscrew bolts "4" and "5". Unlock clamp "2" and remove housing "3" of the outside rearview mirror. view from the overlay "1" "arrows".
Release the housing "1" of the outside rearview mirror. view so that the plug connector is visible. Disconnect the plug connector "2" in the front part of the fastening "3" of the front module. mirrors.

Remove the rear trim. bumper. Disconnect plug connection "3". Unscrew bolts "1" and "2". Remove the used lane change assist system from the "arrow" mount on the bumper.
Installation in reverse order. Install rear trim. bumper. If the bumper cover was removed, then the lane change assist system is used "J769"/"J770" must be recalibrated.
