The master cylinder and four wheel brakes are connected to each other by rigid brake pipes and strong flexible brake hoses. Metal brake lines should be left to the workshop, as it takes a lot of experience to install them correctly. If the brake hoses are damaged, you can replace them yourself. During installation, the hoses should be fixed at the same points where they were originally attached.
1. For removal of a hose turn away a cap nut of the corresponding brake pipeline. Please note that this does not twist the pipeline.
2. Some brake hoses are fixed with a special holder to prevent slipping on the body (sheet metal staples). When mounting, do not forget to install this holder!
3. When installing the hose, first screw in the place where the external thread is located, and only then tighten the second threaded connection.
4. The hose must not twist around its axis. The correct position of the hose can be identified by a continuous colored strip running along the hose, a rubber tide or a rubber profile.
5. Remove air from the brake system.
6. Be sure to check if the hose rubs against adjacent parts when moving. Move the spacer if necessary. Recheck after a long drive.
