1. Apply the handbrake, chock the front wheels, engage first gear or move the selector lever to "R", raise the rear end of the vehicle and install safety props. Remove rear wheels.
2. If need to do "fast", pad thickness can be checked by looking through the viewing window in the rear caliper. With a steel ruler, measure the thickness of the linings together with the substrates. Thickness must not be less than allowed by the Specifications.
3. View through the viewing window gives an inaccurate measurement result. For a more accurate check, the pads must be removed and cleaned. At the same time, you can also check the operation of the caliper, the condition of the disk itself on both sides. Chapter 9 contains a detailed description of the pad test.
4. If the condition of at least one pad is unsatisfactory, all four pads must be replaced as a set. Operation details are described in chapter 9.
5. After completing the check, install the wheels and lower the car.
