Fuel filter replacement (30,000 km) (Audi A4 B5)

1. The fuel filter is located under the bottom of the car, to the right of the fuel tank (Fig. 20.1).

2. Remember the filter installation. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the hoses from the filter.

3. Push the filter out of its bracket. If the filter is tight, loosen the clamp mounting bolts to remove it.

4. After removing the filter, install the clamp and tighten the bolts.

5. Install the new filter in place and connect the hoses. Tighten the clamps. Make sure the filter is installed correctly, the glass on its housing should point towards the engine.
