Cars with gasoline engines
A description of the fuel filter for a diesel engine is given in the chapter "Maintenance".
Removal
Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.
Front wheel drive vehicles: Unscrew the screws and remove the protective panel located in front of the rear axle (see fig. 4A.9).

Safety instructions. The fuel line supplying fuel is under pressure. Before disconnecting the fuel line, relieve the pressure in the fuel system. To do this, loosen the fuel line clamp, then cover the connection with a rag and, being careful, remove the fuel hose from the nipple. Use safety glasses to protect your eyes from fuel. Avoid contact with your skin. Use fuel-resistant gloves. Do not use open flames - fire hazard! Make sure that a charged fire extinguisher is in the immediate vicinity of the workplace.
To collect any leaking fuel, place a suitable container under the fuel filter.
Remove the clamps securing fuel hoses 2 and 3 (fig. 4A.10), using, for example, the HAZET 4590 tool.

Remove the hoses from the fuel filter 1 (see Fig. 4A.10). At the same time, put a thick rag on the connection points. Then, carefully tightening the hoses, reduce the possible pressure. The filter is completely filled with fuel.
Unscrew the fuel filter holder mounting bolt.
Remove the fuel filter from the holder.
Installation
Install the new filter so that the arrow 6 (fig. 4A.10) on the filter indicated the direction of flow from the fuel tank to the engine.
Screw on the fuel filter holder.
Connect the fuel hoses to the fuel filter and secure them with clamps.
Front-wheel drive vehicles. Install a protective panel in front of the rear axle and secure it with screws (see fig. 4A.9).
Take a test drive and check the fuel system for leaks.
