Replacing the fuel filter (Audi A4 B5)

The fuel filter in the Audi A4 is designed in such a way that it does not need to be changed throughout the life of the engine. This is very good, since to remove the filter, you need to disassemble the entire fuel tank in the quattro. And this in turn requires dismantling the rear axle.

Therefore, replacing the fuel filter is only necessary in case of functional disturbances.



The fuel filter (2 – with lines 1 and 3) in front-wheel drive models is located just in front of the right rear wheel arch on the bottom of the vehicle.



The fuel filter (2) of quattro models is mounted on the right front end of the fuel tank. In addition, the following is shown in numbers:

1 – fuel line from the fuel tank to the filter; 3 – fuel line from the filter to the injection system.
