Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.
Note: If your car radio has a secret code, make sure you know the code before disconnecting the battery. If in doubt, consult your dealer.
2. Remove the front and rear sections of the center console as described in paragraph 27.
3. Remove the heater control panel and switch panel as described in paragraph 9 of chapter 3.
4. On models with a passenger airbag, remove it from the front panel as described in chapter 12.
5. Remove the steering wheel as described in chapter 10.
6. Remove the steering column switches as described in chapter 12.
7. Unscrew the screws in front, disconnect the rear fasteners and remove the storage box from under the front panel on the driver's side.
8. Turn away screws of fastening and remove the top and bottom overlays of a steering column.
9. Turn away six bolts of fastening, having removed plastic plugs (pic. 28.9, a-g).
10. The top edge of the front panel is secured with two latches; carefully remove the front panel from the motor shield to disconnect them.
11. Carefully detach the wiring from the back of the instrument panel after its connectors become accessible. Then remove the faceplate from the car (pic. 28.11).
Installation
12. Installation is the reverse procedure. Check the correct laying and connection of the wiring and heater control cables.
