Note: Later models are equipped with a passenger airbag instead of a glove box.
Removal
1. Unfasten the front panel trim on the driver's side, unscrew the three mounting screws on the sides and bottom of the glove box.
2. Open the box lid and unscrew the two fastening screws (Fig. 29.2).
3. Pull the box out partially so that you can disconnect the backlight wiring connector. Remove the glove box from the front panel (fig.29.3, a, b).

4. If necessary, the lid closing damping mechanism can be removed by removing the hinge pin and rotating the mechanism a quarter turn to disengage it from the supports.
Installation
5. Installation - reverse procedure.
