Carpets and mats should be vacuumed regularly. If they are clogged with dirt, remove them from the interior for cleaning and scraping and install them back only when clean and dry. Seats and protective interior panels are wiped with a damp cloth. If there are stains on them, use cleaning compounds and a soft brush to remove.
Headrests are cleaned in the same way. When using liquid cleaning agents, do not over-wet the surfaces being cleaned. Moisture accumulates in the seams and sponge pads, leaving streaks and causing rotting and musty odors. Damp interiors should be dried in the open air, removing carpets. Do not leave oil or other electric radiators in the interior for this purpose.
