Removal
1. Remove the trim panel as described in paragraph 17.
2. Unclip the trim from the A-pillar at the bottom. Disconnect the door wiring multi-pin connector, then disconnect the central lock vacuum hose from the linear connector.
3. Remove the window regulator carriage as described in paragraph 21.
4. Ask an assistant to support the door, or prop it up with wooden blocks. If you use wooden blocks instead of an assistant, note that the door is heavy - put a rag under the door so as not to damage the paintwork.
5. Use a marker to trace the bottom hinge of the door.
6. Unscrew the bolts securing the lower hinge to the door.
7. Remove the plug and take out the top hinge axial spring bolt.
8. Lift the door upward to release the top hinge.
9. Clean the bolt threads with a wire brush, then apply anaerobic sealant to them before tightening.
Installation
10. Installation is the reverse procedure. When installing the lower hinge, use the previously applied marks. Note that the hinges have elongated holes for the mounting bolts - it is possible to adjust the position of the door in the opening.
11. Close the door and check the door closes properly and fits in the doorway. The necessary adjustments can be made by moving the latch on the rack.
