2. It is better to entrust the removal, installation and adjustment of the sunroof to specialists of the Audi dealership service center, since specialized equipment is required.
3. The sunroof electric drive can be removed and installed as described in chapter 12. If the sunroof electric drive fails while the sunroof is open, it can be closed manually. To do this, first unfasten the plastic trim panel on the driver's side of the dashboard and remove the emergency "brace" attached behind the trim panel. Open the hatch in the console above your head to gain access to the bottom of the drive motor, insert the "brace" into the hole in the motor shaft. Close the sunroof by turning the motor shaft with the "brace".
4. If the hatch drainage tubes are clogged with dirt, they can be pierced with wire (an old speedometer cable is ideal for this operation). The front drain tubes end just below the A-pillars, between the upper and lower door hinges. The rear drain tubes end under the front edges of the rear bumper. They can be accessed by removing the side trim panels of the luggage compartment and releasing the seals (fig. 25.4, a-c).
