2. Removing, installing and adjusting the sunroof is best left to an Audi dealership because specialized equipment is required.
3. The power sunroof can be removed and installed as described in chapter 12. If the electric sunroof fails while the sunroof is open, it can be closed manually. To do this, you must first unfasten the plastic trim on the front panel, located on the driver's side, and remove the emergency "brace", attached behind the patch. Open the hatch in the overhead console to access the bottom of the drive motor, insert "brace" into the hole in the motor shaft. Close the sunroof by rotating the motor shaft "gyration".
4. If the drainage tubes of the hatch are clogged with dirt, they can be pierced with wire (an old speedometer cable is ideal for this operation). Front drain tubes end just below the uprights "A", between the upper and lower door hinges. The rear drain pipes end under the front edges of the rear bumper. You can get to them by removing the side panels of the luggage compartment upholstery and loosening the seals (pic. 25.4, a-c).
