Order of execution
1. Put the wheels straight.
2. Have your assistant turn the steering wheel left and right near the middle position - a knock or click is heard.
3. At the same time, carefully and slowly turn the set screw to the right (screwing) until the clicks inside the car disappear.
4. Carry out a test drive: the steering should not have a hard move in any of the positions, let alone jam. Otherwise, replace the steering gear.
Replacement of a dustproof cuff of the steering mechanism
The steering gear boot can be replaced with the steering gear installed.
1. Remove the tie rod head.
2. Push in the hose clamps.
3. Remove the old dust collar.
4. Slide on a new rubber O-ring and a new dust seal.
5. Install new hose clamps.
6. Fasten the tie rod.
