Filling and bleeding the servo control system (Audi A4 B5)

The control system is filled and bled if individual components of the hydraulic system have been replaced and therefore it was necessary to drain the hydraulic oil.

Execution order

1. Clean the filter in the tank with cleaning gasoline.

2. Fill with new hydraulic oil up to the "MAX" mark. Do not use drained oil.

3. Support the front of the car on both sides and, with the engine off, slowly turn the steering wheel from lock to lock 10 times.

4. Add hydraulic oil up to the "MAX" mark.

5. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel again 10 times from lock to lock.

6. If the fluid level drops, set the wheels straight and add fluid until the level is constantly at the "MAX" mark. When turning the steering wheel, no more air bubbles should rise in the reservoir.

7. Check the fluid level after a short trip.
