The steering wheel should be installed in its previous position. Before installation, check that the turn signal lever is in the middle position, otherwise the return cams will be damaged. After installation, take a test drive. When driving straight, the steering wheel spokes should be horizontal, otherwise the steering wheel should be repositioned.

The adjustment is removed by hand, but requires quite a lot of force. First remove the upper half of the lining and release the coil springs from the two upper attachment points, then release the lower half without removing the lining. Move the lining to the left until the hook on the right is released and the lining can be removed. Do not pull too hard to the right, as this may break the hook or tear the retainer. The fastening hooks on the left and right are identical, so the lining can be moved to the right and removed from the left. Finally, disconnect the electrical wires from the lining.
