Steering drive (Audi 80 B3)

1 - fastening ring
Push it all the way onto the toothed rack and insert the casing into the groove.
2 - casing
Can be replaced without removing the steering gear. Lubricate the toothed rack with AOF 063 000 04 grease.
3 - clamp
Cut, use a clamp with a screw clamp when installing. The screw clamp must face the front wall.
4 - lid
Screw onto the steering gear housing.
5 - ring with a circular cross-section
Replace.
6 - steering play adjustment screw
7 - bolt, 20 Nm
8 - ring with a circular cross-section
Replace.
9 - pressure spring
10 - pressure plate
11 - pressure element
Lubricate and insert into the steering gear housing.
12 - steering gear housing
13 - bar
14 - left steering rod
15 - lock nuts, 40 Nm
16 - nut, 30 Nm
Self-locking, always replace.
17 - steering rod end
18 - clamping ring
19 - right steering rod
