1. The fuel filter is installed on the fuel line. On carburetor engines, it is located near the fuel pump on the fuel supply line. On some engines with a fuel injection system, the filter is located on the supply line between the fuel tank and the fuel pump. In addition, on models with a fuel injection system, there is an additional filter located on the inlet pipeline to the measurement unit and installed in the bulkhead.
2. To replace the filter, disconnect the fuel lines and, where necessary, unscrew the nut from the mounting bracket. To change the filter near the fuel tank on engines with a fuel injection system, it will be necessary to jack up the rear of the vehicle.
3. When installing a new filter, make sure the arrow points in the correct direction of fuel flow (i.e. to the engine). Install new brackets and washers; Do not allow dirt or foreign matter to enter the fuel lines.
