Carburetor models (and the RM engine with the Mono-Jetronic system)
1. Remove the element as described in Chapter 3.
2. Remove the intake cover from the right front corner of the engine compartment (photo).

3. Remove the lower mounting nut and upper mounting screws, then remove the intake pipe from the front panel and air filter (photo).




4. To prevent the mounting nut from falling into the carburetor (or Monojet block), place a cloth over the block.
5. Unscrew and remove the three nuts and washers securing the air filter housing to the carburetor (or Monojet block) and remove the adapter or retaining ring (photo).

6. Remove the air filter, disconnect it from the crankcase ventilation hose (where is it used) and from the warm air duct above the exhaust manifold casing. Disconnect the vacuum pipe (photo).


Fuel Injected Models (except for the RM engine)
7. Remove the element as described in Chapter 3.
8. Unscrew the air filter housing from the body panel.
All models
9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
