2. Place the car over a viewing hole. Before loosening the nuts and bolts, saturate them with oil to make them easier to remove.
3. Initially, the manufacturer installs a one-piece block attached to the lower end of the distribution pipe. To remove it, the rear part of the body is raised, and the rear axle is lowered, having previously disconnected the lower mounting bolt of the rear left shock absorber (photo). The block consists of two parts connected by a bushing above the rear axle.
4. To remove the system, unscrew and remove the bolts with springs securing the distribution pipe flange to the front muffler or catalytic converter (photo).
5. Where equipped, unscrew the connecting sleeve (photo).
6. Bend back the locking device of the mounting bracket and disconnect the mounting rubber bands. To do this, thread the wire through the rubber band (photo). Where equipped, also disconnect the Lambda sensor harness.
7. Separate the connecting sleeve and remove the rear part of the exhaust system (photo).
8. Unscrew and remove the front distribution pipe on the exhaust manifold, remove the gasket (photo).
9. Install the system at the same time, starting with the distribution pipe.
10. Before assembly, clean and lubricate all connections with sealant.
11. After tightening all fasteners, check that there is no deformation of parts of the system. Warm up the engine, then check for leaks from the exhaust system. Tighten the fasteners if necessary.
