Exhaust manifold — removal and installation (Audi 80 B3)

1. Remove the intake manifold (Chapter 32).

2. Unscrew the nuts and remove the exhaust manifold cover (photo). Disconnect the warm air hose.







3. Unscrew the exhaust outlet pipe from the manifold and remove the gasket (photo). Where equipped, disconnect the Lambda sensor wiring.



4. Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the exhaust manifold from the cylinder head. Remove the gaskets (photo).







5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Install new gaskets and tighten all nuts and bolts to the specified tightening torque Specification (photo).
