1. The details of the engine mount and crossmember installation are shown in the illustration.

1 - Engine crossmember;
2, 13 - Bolt, subject to replacement, 120 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 180°;
3 - Right engine mount;
4, 11 - Bolt, 60 Nm;
5, 9 - Bolt, 50 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 90°;
6, 10 - Nut, 75 Nm;
7/8 - Right/left engine bracket;
12 - Left engine mount.

2. Remove the drive belt and its tensioner (see Section 6).

3. Remove the air cleaner (see Chapter 4).

4. Remove both sound insulation panels under the engine compartment (see Section 19 of Chapter 1).

5. Remove the air hose (see illustration 4.16).

6. On both sides of the engine, loosen the nuts securing the brackets to the supports (see illustration).

7. Remove the front left wheel arch liner (see Chapter 10). On both sides of the engine, unscrew the bolts securing the supports to the crossmember (see illustration).

8. Unscrew the fasteners of the refrigerant lines (see illustration).

After removing the holders, the refrigerant lines can be slightly moved to the side to install supports No. 10-222A/19 on the side members (see below).

9. Install support beam No. 10 - 222A with T40091/3 connections and two forward-facing spindles onto the front fender flanges (see illustration).

Hook both spindles into the rear lifting eyes of the engine.

10. Install the other parts onto the support bracket as shown in the illustration.

Place adapters No. 10-222A/19 on the side member flanges. Secure all supporting elements.

11. Screw the T10014 holder into the mounting hole of the drive belt tensioner (see illustration).

12. Install the devices shown in the illustration and hook them onto the front engine lifting eye and onto the T10014 holder. Secure all support elements.

13. While rotating the spindles evenly, lift the engine so that the brackets are above the support studs. After this, the supports can be removed.

14. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

15. On models with air suspension, activate the vehicle jacking mode (see Introduction).

16. Remove the engine mounts (see subsection above).

17. Remove the heat shield (And in illustration 4.43) steering mechanism. Set the front wheels in the straight ahead position and secure the steering wheel with tape to prevent it/steering column from changing position. Remove the hinge mounting bolt (B) and separate it from the steering gear.

18. Unscrew the fasteners on both sides (2 in illustration 4.35) stabilizer on its struts.

19. Unscrew the ground connection bolt on the right side member (see illustration 4.47).

20. Mark the installation position of the subframe and engine crossmember relative to the side members, and then unscrew the bolts (3 and 4 in illustration 4.51) and lower the front side of the subframe together with the engine crossmember. Remove the cross member forward.

21. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
