Supports
2. Remove the drive belt and its tensioner (see Section 6).
3. Remove the air cleaner (see Chapter 4).
4. Remove both sound insulation panels under the engine compartment (see Section 19 of Chapter 1).
5. Remove the air hose (see illustration 4.16).
6. On both sides of the engine, loosen the nuts securing the brackets to the supports (see illustration).
5.6. Nut for fastening the bracket to the support.
7. Remove the front left wheel arch liner (see Chapter 10). On both sides of the engine, unscrew the bolts securing the supports to the crossmember (see illustration).
5.7. Bolts for fastening the support to the engine crossmember.
8. Unscrew the fasteners of the refrigerant lines (see illustration).
5.8. Fastening of refrigerant line holders.
After removing the holders, the refrigerant lines can be slightly moved to the side to install supports No. 10-222A/19 on the side members (see below).
9. Install support beam No. 10 - 222A with T40091/3 connections and two forward-facing spindles onto the front fender flanges (see illustration).
5.9. Hooking the spindles onto the rear lifting eyes.
Hook both spindles into the rear lifting eyes of the engine.
10. Install the other parts onto the support bracket as shown in the illustration.
5.10. Installation of additional supports.
Place adapters No. 10-222A/19 on the side member flanges. Secure all supporting elements.
11. Screw the T10014 holder into the mounting hole of the drive belt tensioner (see illustration).
5.11. Holder in the hole for the drive belt tensioner.
12. Install the devices shown in the illustration and hook them onto the front engine lifting eye and onto the T10014 holder. Secure all support elements.
5.12. Engaging the spindle at the front lifting points.
13. While rotating the spindles evenly, lift the engine so that the brackets are above the support studs. After this, the supports can be removed.
14. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Crossbar
15. On models with air suspension, activate the vehicle jacking mode (see Introduction).
16. Remove the engine mounts (see subsection above).
17. Remove the heat shield (And in illustration 4.43) steering mechanism. Set the front wheels in the straight ahead position and secure the steering wheel with tape to prevent it/steering column from changing position. Remove the hinge mounting bolt (B) and separate it from the steering gear.
18. Unscrew the fasteners on both sides (2 in illustration 4.35) stabilizer on its struts.
19. Unscrew the ground connection bolt on the right side member (see illustration 4.47).
20. Mark the installation position of the subframe and engine crossmember relative to the side members, and then unscrew the bolts (3 and 4 in illustration 4.51) and lower the front side of the subframe together with the engine crossmember. Remove the cross member forward.
21. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
